| OK, so I know times are hard right now. We're all in the throes of an economic nightmare. Of course you are going to be wondering what exactly you are getting for your donation, right? First of all, you are getting a tax deduction. This is my way of contributing to the economic stimulus package! Second, with your contribution of $50.00 or more, I will be happy to run in honor of someone you know who has or has had a blood cancer, and will add him or her to my honorees page. Following, however, are some specific ways your donation will be helping blood cancer patients and their families. Hopefully you will then have a tangible idea of the scope of your assistance. |
| A donation of $25 provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options. A donation of $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members. A donation of $75 provides bone marrow typing for a family member of a patient with leukemia. A donation of $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures. A donation of $500 can provide patient aid to a person with cancer for one year. A donation of $1,000 makes possible one- on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team. A donation of any amount helps us make life more bearable for patients and their families and gives them hope, and helps us in the search for a cure. Please give today, and please be as generous as you can. |
